This is mostly a reminder to JV moms, but Varsity moms and kiddos should perk their ears up too. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wear shoes that do not make much noise. If you are unsure about whether your shoes are loud, wear them on a tile or wooden floor. There are some shoes that I heard tonight that I don't want to see again this week, but I forgot to mention it before everyone left. I will probably mention this again tomorrow night.
There are so many moments when we have to exit the stage quietly or sneak across backstage to the other side quickly, and we can't have clanky, flappy shoes. Peppermint Pattie is allowed flip-flops, it's part of her character and costume description, but I don't think there is anyone else that should be wearing sandals (especially since they are more likely to make noise.)
P.S. If someone else is supposed to have sandals and I forgot you I'm sorry--you are an exception too.
